Juliana Mercer

Juliana Mercer is a USMC veteran who deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan and spent four years providing holistic support to wounded Marines. After her service, she channeled her passion into veteran nonprofits, demonstrating a deep commitment to helping her community thrive. In her journey to overcome her own PTSD, Juliana found healing through psychedelics. Now, in her role at Healing Breakthrough, she dedicates herself to ensuring veterans have access to these therapies, passionately advocating for the research, training, and system-wide adoption of MDMA-assisted therapy within the VA. Juliana also serves on several veteran nonprofit boards and founded Sabe Journeys, a Public Benefit Corporation aimed at creating meaningful change through individual transformation and wellness. A portion of Sabe’s profits supports veteran access to care through the Heroic Hearts Project, furthering the mission of providing hope and renewal to our nation’s veterans and their families.
