Laura Pustarfi

Laura Pustarfi, Ph.D., is a writer, creative, and integral ecologist. Her scholarly work is at the intersection of philosophy, ecology, and religion, and she is adjunct faculty at the CIIS in Philosophy and Religion. She completed her doctoral work in Philosophy and Religion with a focus on Ecology, Spirituality, and Religion at CIIS. She is currently working on a volume co-edited with Dr. David Macauley, The Wisdom of Trees: Thinking Through Arboreality, expected to be published in 2025. Laura is the co-author of "The Quest for Integral Ecology," Integral Review 9, No. 3., and has presented at several academic conferences. She also has an enduring interest in the arts. Her professional background includes events and project management, research, analysis, and writing for both business and non-profit organizations. She is the Director of the Psychedelic-Assisted Therapies and Research Certificate Program at CIIS. She lives in the San Francisco Bay Area on occupied Indigenous territory of the Coast Miwok and Southern Pomo, now recognized as the Federated Indians of Graton Rancheria.
