Sitaramaya Sita
Sitaramaya Sita (“Sita”) is a spiritual herbalist, pusangera, plant wisdom practitioner and ceremonialist formally trained in the Shipibo ayahuasca tradition. She has over 22 years of studying and working extensively in the Amazon. She is the Founder of PlantTeachers, an organization dedicated to cultivating entheogenic awareness. Sita has organized and spoken at countless world conferences as a leader in her community. Sita started and stewards a 70-acre land conservation and reciprocity project in the Peruvian Amazon – Fundo Sitaramaya which is directed by the One Acre Project. She lectures, teaches, and works with individuals and groups in ceremonies and guides plant dietas. Sita currently trains, teaches and practices to heal personal, institutional, and cultural trauma. Sita firmly believes that our wounds can become embodied wisdom. She provides integration, somatic experiencing, coaching, and shamanic and spiritual guidance. She is a Somatic Experiencing practitioner, a Vajrayana practitioner, trained and teaches esoteric Nejang Buddhist Yoga, a student of Sowa Rigpa, and blends her training in multiple modalities in the services and teaching she offers. She is an art curator and organized Ayahuasca & Visionary Art: A Coming Together of Cultures, the largest visionary art show to date AYA2019 – The World Ayahuasca Conference in Girona, Spain.
